Upper Mustang -trip itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel.
Attend a trek briefing and make necessary preparations.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara
Drive or fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara.
Explore the beautiful lakeside town.
Day 3: Pokhara to Jomsom (2,720m/8,924ft) and Kagbeni (2,810m/9,219ft)
Fly to Jomsom and start trekking to Kagbeni.
Begin the trek in the Kali Gandaki Valley.
Day 4: Kagbeni to Chele (3,050m/10,006ft)
Trek to Chele, passing through Tangbe and Chhusang villages.
Explore the red cliffs and caves in the area.
Day 5: Chele to Syangboche (3,800m/12,467ft)
Trek to Syangboche via Yamda La Pass.
Enjoy views of Nilgiri and Mustang Himal.
Day 6: Syangboche to Ghami (3,520m/11,546ft)
Trek to Ghami, passing through the Nyi La Pass.
Visit the Ghar Gompa and explore the village.
Day 7: Ghami to Charang (3,500m/11,482ft)
Trek to Charang, passing through the Tsarang La Pass.

Day 8: Charang to Lo Manthang (3,730m/12,238ft)
Trek to Lo Manthang, the capital of Upper Mustang.
Explore the walled city and visit monasteries.
Day 9-10: Explore Lo Manthang
Spend a couple of days exploring Lo Manthang.
Visit monasteries, the royal palace, and the Amchi Museum.
If your trek coincides with the Tiji Festival, participate in the celebrations.
Day 11: Lo Manthang to Drakmar (3,810m/12,500ft)
Trek to Drakmar, passing through the Lo La Pass.
Visit the ancient Nyphu Cave Monastery.
Day 12: Drakmar to Ghiling (3,860m/12,664ft)
Trek to Ghiling via Ghemi.

Day 13: Ghiling to Chhusang (2,980m/9,777ft)
Trek back to Chhusang via Syangboche.
Final day of the trek in the Mustang region.
Day 14: Chhusang to Jomsom
