- The highlight of the trek is reaching the summit of Pikey Peak early in the morning to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayan range. On a clear day, you can see iconic peaks such as Mount Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, and Kanchenjunga.
Pikey Peak trip itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.
Attend a trek briefing and make necessary preparations.
Day 2: Drive to Dhap (2,900m/9,514ft)
Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Dhap.
Start the trek from Dhap and trek to Jhapre for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Trek to Pikey Base Camp (3,640m/11,942ft)
Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp.
Enjoy the views of the Himalayan range, including Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, and Kanchenjunga.
Day 4: Pikey Peak Summit (4,065m/13,335ft) and Trek to Loding (2,680m/8,792ft)
Early morning ascent to Pikey Peak for sunrise views.
Descend to Loding for the night, passing through Sherpa villages and landscapes.
Day 5: Trek to Junbesi (2,700m/8,858ft)
Continue the trek to Junbesi, a Sherpa village known for its cultural heritage.
Explore the village and interact with the locals.
Day 6: Trek to Thupten Chholing Monastery
Trek to Thupten Chholing Monastery, an important religious site.
Explore the monastery and learn about the local culture and traditions.
Day 7: Return to Kathmandu
Trek back to Junbesi and drive back to Kathmandu.
Relax in Kathmandu or explore the city.
Day 8: Departure
Depart from Kathmandu.
